Redfield Medical Clinic
Redfield Medical Clinic is a federally certified Rural Health Clinic serving Redfield, Iowa and the surrounding community since 1988. Founded by Ed Friedmann, PA-C, and his wife Libby Coyte, PA-C, the clinic has provided continuous, compassionate primary care to residents of Redfield for nearly 40 years.
Ed Friedmann, a graduate of the University of Iowa PA Program and former U.S. Army combat medic, has served as the clinic’s sole medical provider since its doors opened. Libby Coyte, also a University of Iowa PA Program graduate, brings decades of experience in family medicine, oncology, and community health care.
When the town’s only medical clinic closed in 1988, Ed and Libby stepped in to ensure Redfield’s 700+ residents would retain access to quality local health care. That same commitment to their patients and neighbors drives them today.
As a Rural Health Clinic, Redfield Medical Clinic accepts Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring that all members of the community — regardless of financial situation — have access to the care they need close to home.
